What is INDIGO?
INDIGO is used to colour hair dark and is one the main ingredients of many of our Conlemany herbal hair dye mixes.
We only use the leaves of Indigofera Tinctoria plant that once dried up and powdered give a greenish powder, similar to Henna powder but with a stronger scent.
It can be mixed with all our Conlemany plant-based hair dye powders to strengthen the colour, enrich or personalise a nuance.
Our Conlemany INDIGO powder is pure, chemical – free (No Sodium picramate) and sustainable made.
Among its many benefits, the Indigofera Tinctoria plant can regulate the sebum production and has antibacterial properties.
Did you know that..
For centuries, powdered Indigofera Tinctoria leaves have been safely used to colour hair naturally. The plant arrived in Europe from Asia thanks to the Venetian explorer and merchant Marco Polo. In Asia it was used to dye textiles.
The blue indigo powder means the powder has been fermented and chemical ingredients have been used in the extraction process. This powder is therefore not safe to use.
We recommend to add our Conlemany ALTHAEA (about 20gr) to moisturise your scalp and hair.
Do not wash your hair for 48 hours in order to allow your colour to fully develop.
All our hair dye powders are 100% pure and natural, chemical-free (No Sodium picramate), vegan and dermatologically tested and they don’t contain heavy metals such as nickel, lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury.
Add warm water to our vegetable and natural Conlemany hair dye powders to create a paste with a creamy consistency and apply all along the hair.
For a perfect result, you can book a INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATION with one of our colour experts who will help you on the application of your plant-based colour.
